The Fiscal Responsibility Commission (Commission) is calling for memoranda and inputs into the draft Fiscal Responsibility Code of Conduct (Code). Submit inputs to Martins Eke: martins@csj-ng.org or Charles Abana: charlzabana@yahoo.com , within 18 days from the date of this advertisement being August 10, 2025.

The Code seeks to provide practical guidelines for the implementation of the provisions of the Fiscal Responsibility Act 2007 (FRA) and ensure that operators of the fiscal space align themselves to the provisions of the FRA. The Code provides for responsibilities, timing and available sanctions under extant law and new enforcement mechanisms made pursuant to the powers of the Commission under the FRA.

The Code covers all provisions of the FRA from the medium-term expenditure framework, budget preparation, implementation and reporting, procurement of debt, fiscal transparency, accountability, etc.
